The programs we administer are designed to teach an individual how to learn, recall what has been learned, and apply what has been learned. It’s our Total Learning Fitness System™ that develops skills that will allow the student to achieve for years to come.
Our Total Learning Fitness System™ is comprised of more than 80 in-depth training programs forming a continuous training plan. The Total Learning Fitness System™ is unique because its objectives are met in the learner, not in the subject. It is the learner, the person, who must be trained to learn. The Total Learning Fitness System™ trains memory, listening, seeing, thinking fast, comprehension, attention, following directions, working fast, writing, rationality, visual tracking, visual memory, auditory memory, output skills, study skills, understanding, clear thinking, motivation, and so on—learning fitness. The Neighborhood Learning Place, Inc. also provides tutorial support in the areas of reading, language arts, and mathematics. With all of our programs, an emphasis is always placed on a diagnostic-prescriptive approach to remedial assistance.
The input skills -the visual, the auditory, (seeing and listening) are trained to enter the information into the brain.
Processing skills are trained to do the learning.
Memory skills are trained to hold the learning.
Reading is the tool to train the learner. It will be learned.
The output skills -the verbalizing and recording, (speaking and writing) are trained to use the information learned, to be tested, shared, etc.
The learning will be exercised and the Student will perform better.
